The Gauntlet: Bullet For My Valentine Metal News

Bullet For My Valentine cancels shows

Bullet For My Valentine Bullet For My Valentine has been forced to cancel the remaining dates on their current UK tour as well as a string of December U.S. dates. Frontman Matt Tuck is currently recovering from laryngitis brought on by a throat infection and fatigue. Tuck has issued the following statement:

"To all our Stateside friends, I am truly sorry we will not be there in December as planned to see you guys, me and the boys are gutted just as much as you are but the word is I've been signed off by my doctors over here who have told me I need to rest up if I want to keep on singing the way I do in the future, and of course that's what I want to do. Sorry to disappoint you, but please rest assured we WILL be back, and back with a vengeance, in 2007. Hope y'all have a great Thanksgiving, see you soon."

All of the UK dates have been rescheduled for January, apart from Brighton, where refunds for the show will be available via points of purchase. Re-scheduled UK dates are:

Wed 3 Jan - Newcastle Academy
Thu 4 Jan - Manchester Apollo
Fri 5 Jan - Birmingham Academy
Sun 7 Jan - Cardiff University
Mon 8 Jan - Hammersmith Apollo

Date: Nov 23, 2006

    Hardcore Annal Sects

Although they reinvented themselves as a lethal thrash metal band in the '90s, Pantera were originally glam/pop metallists — as proven by their '80s albums Metal Magic, Projects in the Jungle, and I Am the Night, as well as the stage names the members used during this period (bassist Rex Smith was known as Rex Rocker and guitarist Dimebag Darrell was known as Diamond Darrell).
