The Gauntlet: Unsane Metal News

Unsane go for a Blood Run

Unsane UNSANE's Blood Run hit streets in the U.S. on Tuesday, April 26th 2005. Blood Run will street in the rest of the world on May 2nd. The NYC noise rock kingpins return with their first full length album of new material since 1998's Occupational Hazard. On Blood Run, UNSANE bombard the listener with punishing, abrasive music delivered with the subtlety of a head-on car crash. Blood Run administers immeasurable amounts of the band's unequalled combination of blood, guts and violence as vocalist / guitarist Chris Spencer's scraping guitar work and vocal angst is cemented by a pounding rhythm section and domineering air of volatile aggressiveness.

UNSANE (Chris Spencer: Vocals, Guitar, Dave Curran: Vocals, Bass, Vinny Signorelli: Drums) will be touring this spring / summer in support of Blood Run. This headlining North American tour will kick off on May 11th in Columbus, OH and is expected to conclude on June 25th in Long Beach, CA with additional dates pending. Support on this tour will be provided by New Orelans, LA's BLACKFIRE REVELATION.

In summer 2000, Creed frontman Scott Stapp was awarded the first Fatherhood Hall Of Fame Statue by the advocacy group Women For Fatherhood. Stapp's son Jagger inspired the Creed single "With Arms Wide Open," which came from their 1999 album Human Clay.
