This is an extremely rough sounding sample of what is to come on Chainsnap's 'Hollow' album. In light of the modern technology available which is available for groups to record with in 2005, the production quality here is simply unacceptable. It sounds as if this was recorded on a 4 track, which might cut it for gaining a few local shows, but is in no way to be considered appropriate for submission on a wide scale basis. These guys sound very young and likely could stand to place a bit more emphasis on getting better individual performances before laying these tracks down for public consumption. Chainsnap sound like a thrashier Pantera at times, but in no way do they reach the level of musicianship found in that highly revered act. A very rough example of a band that is merely beginning to find it's way musically.
