Somewhere between a freakish industrial acid nightmare and an evil parody of Pretty Boy Floyd, Undercover Slut aim solely to shock the shit out of you. Lead vocalist O has an electric, sneering bark that gives the band an intensely original sound. 'Darling, Darling' is dramatic and rolls with a dark and twisted vibe. Sampled German chants and march beats delivered on a snare drum add to the groups forbidden sounding, foreboding tone.
'Narcoticosmetics' is a haunting beast, delivered with a Motley vibe and featuring a kick ass guitar solo, this track pushes the band's blackened, sleazy vibe to the limit. The spaced out viscosity of 'Evil Star Virus' is stripped down and at times approaches an Imperial, black metal vibe. The horror flick influence kicks in on 'Copycat Suicide', a brooding track that is driven by a pumping bass line. As the album title imparts, this group is political as well as sexual in nature and you get the silent treatment from the group on 'Sixty Silent Seconds To Repent For Your Animal Genocide'.
Nothing screams shock rock like naming a track 'Daddy's Little Cunt', as Undercover Slut get disturbingly demented with some major injections of sexual innuendo. There's fifteen tracks here in all plus the video track 'Legalize Suicide', which definitely makes the album a good buy. The tracks are each pretty cool, there's no real clunkers here, but the production quality on some tracks is super dirty sounding, which for this band is a plus. On the whole, this is a very well done slab of meat just waiting for you to take a big flipping bite of it.
