'Hoodlum Rock' is a party time rapcore spin that focuses on topics like shoving your car full of chicks, smoking pot and thuggin'. El Pus want to crunk you up with sing along raps, metal riffs and an overall good time vibe that although at some points focuses too much on clichéd lyrical content. Rap has played itself out, yo, and it's time for rappers to stop quoting words like 'bling bling' and 'frontin'' repeatedly and come up with some fresh ideas. Although El Pus can rock out some decent riffage similar to the sounds on the 'Black And White' record that came out in the 80's, the raps are strictly lame. No VIPs here, just another assemblage of wanna be players spitting about how damn hype they is.
After listening to the entire album, nothing here is very striking. Here's a suggestion, leave the rap metal to Kid Rock. He does it with far more passion and originality and realness than this weak ass tripe. If you're the type of individual who is into the same tired shit that has been coming out of this movement for years, maybe you can get into this mindless stuff, but personally, I hate grits and have no absolutely no use whatsoever for the ignorant Black Panther fist in the air garbage that is portrayed in some of this group's band photos. So straight up cold take yo tired doggy dogg ass back to the suburbs with this wack ass shit cause' it ain't flyin' on The G, homeboys! And that's fo' schizzle, my nizzle!
