Nothing less than the sweetest eye candy for those who walk the left hand path, 'A Collection Of Noisymotions' is a killer compilation of videos from Osmose Productions artists that will assault your eyes as well as your ears with some of the most talented bands in extreme metal.
Although you won't see any big-budget MTV catering, overblown productions here, the entire production is well orchestrated, with easy-to-navigate menus and options that allow you to view all of the videos in playing (random) order or to choose to watch the videos of your favorite bands all at once.
Without a doubt, the most impressive visuals come courtesy of Snowy Shaw's Notre Dame, represented here with three separate clips, the macabre 'Spiderella's XXX', the gloomy 'Scarecrows' and the silent film throwback 'Booffon.' All three clips outline the brilliantly caliginous work of Shaw, a man that learned how to properly present metal in a horror themed, theatrical light during his tenure as skin-basher with King Diamond. As a part of the DVD's bonus material, fans also get a glimpse of the artist's home, where he invites the viewer in for further dark happenings.
No second banana by any means, the mighty Immortal chime in with two of the greatest black metal clips ever to be produced, 'Blashyrk (Mighty Ravendark)' and the absolute coolest (pardon the pun) video that you will discover here, 'Grim And Frostbitten Kingdom.' Throw in five extremely underground, cult performances from the band's 'Fuck Christ' tour as bonus tracks and you have more than enough reason to buy this video simply if you are a follower of Immortal's grim, frostbitten sound.
Long-time Osmose alumni Impaled Nazarene are the most well represented in terms of video clips, as this compilation includes no less than six videos from the blackpunk ensemble including a ballistic performance during 'Armageddon Death Squad' that is certain to hit the target with extreme metal worshippers.
Other highlights include two older clips from Dark Tranquillity, 'Zodijackyl Light' and 'Hedon', two clips from an era that many long-time fans might argue was the band's best. Seth, Phazm and the almighty Absu also contribute excellent clips along the way.
More than anything, this package outlines the fact that Osmose has been home to some of the best extreme metal out there and it's safe to say that we have not heard the last of the bat as of yet. Grab this deadly DVD.
