The German tough guy guys are back with their third full length simply entitled 'War'. Simple, like the music they play which can't have the ability to hold anyone's attention for more than two tracks but somehow does, hence their third album. Anyone who has heard their past two releases knows what to expect, and already knows that the next three will sound the same.

In a world with metal on the rise, a questionable catalog of metal that is and Born From Pain is a group that adds to the fray. This is one of the first band's I've heard that actually draws out a breakdown so long that it eclipses anything else the song might have done. This approach, though seemingly works for the band, provides no real thrill anymore except if like moshing during every second of a song. Also, if you like gang vocals frequenting your hardcore, then this album is your jam (yeah I said it).

Not far from 'In Love With The End', Born From Pain have a formula that they have been sticking to for awhile. Strict formula allows for now ingenuity to completely enter leaving the songs stale even half way through. If you can get through an entire album of this then I salute you but. These kinds of bands make it hard to enjoy an album in its entirety as they allow no variation to occur which in return makes the music suffer immensely. 'War' unfortunately is no exception for such negative qualities.

    Hardcore Annal Sects

Before Bill Ward, Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler and Tony Iommi settled on the bandname Black Sabbath, they were in bands called Earth, Mythology, and even a blues band called Polka Tulk Blues.
