One of the most exciting groups to bring a merging of metal and hardcore music into the new millennium has been the always upfront, overtly blunt and furiously determined Bury Your Dead. Eulogy has resurrected this mosh manifesting platter of backhands to the mouth for good reason. It's a killer record from start to finish that will have you screaming your lungs out right along with singer Mark Castillo as he rips through pissed off anthems like 'Dragged Out And Shot' and 'Sunday's Best'. Positioned directly at the forefront of the metalcore hordes, Bury Your Dead show here that they were just as capable of annihilating audiences with musical brute force back in the day as they now do on a daily basis. 'So Fucking Blues' almost imparts an Entombed like feel, as the guitars reflect a tone that is not too distant from that crushing Swedish death sound. The band lets loose with an old school punk thrashing on 'Cammo Is My Favorite Color', a track which features a massive breakdown riff that will part the floor and suck you right into the pit of chaos this song's chorus relays. If you have not yet checked the band out, you should. You're missing out on the evolution of heavy music.
