Sick Of It All's debut on Abacus records is one of their most pissed off yet showing the integrity of this band is never in question with a new release. Pioneers of the genre we won't caress the fact that Sick Of It All did this and did that, because we already know their accomplishments and how they keep on accomplishing in a day when hardcore music is diluted and rehashed to commonness dribble.
"Death To Tyrants" shows there is no compromise nor will there ever be for bands like Sick Of It All who will always have the associated name of 'great' attached to their name whenever it is mentioned. With no exception "Death To Tyrants" is a fury that reminisces old releases while pushing ahead with a sound that is identifiable to the band's older fans and newer ones as well.
Sick Of It All always had a message to deliver and not a word of it is missed through the harsh vocals that seemed to have gotten angstier since the band's last release. Breaks aplenty, Sick Of It All keep on with the same formula they have been apt to for years with a little added kick to really bring out the crushing ability of songs like "Machete", "Evil Schemer" and "Forked Tongue". Who has ever known a Sick Of It All release to not come from the heart? This one sure does in the loudest manner possible, which is a step up from "Life On The Ropes".
Sick Of It All have plenty life in them and age is no factor as you will hear on "Death To Tyrants". Sick Of It All remains timeless in their own way.
