How the hell is this band still good after all these years? I don't have the answers people but Sodom does, it's in the music to sound really corny, but it is. Sodom have continued to prove to people that thrash metal might be a phase that is over in metal but it sure as hell isn't dead as a style.

"Sodom" Marks the billionth release from Sodom and it cuts through you just as much as any other release put out by the German thrash trio. The cover sports a lot of black with tools of death submerging slightly from the blackened abyss, perfect. The album cover already breathes Sodom without even looking at the title of the band, something few bands can do. And of course the cover means your about to get thrashed in your fucking face as usual.

That's the key phrase here people 'as usual' because it applies to band's who are consistent in their musical delivery. If you are into metal, you are into Sodom, it's that simple and they keep putting out killer albums so that people coming into metal have something to grab easily. "Sodom" Is the essence that has driven this band for over 20 years, every song is another fine example of how thrash is to be played, not just fast but with plenty of interwoven melody and of course the sick choruses that are there to make each song even more unforgettable. What more is there to say about Sodom or rather their new album which just adds to the band's huge catalog of great releases?

Not much needs to be said really, Sodom proves something with "Sodom", they prove that thrash is timeless, no matter what music is doing heavy or not, there will always be a place for thrash whether it be today or 10 years from now.
