The Greek death metal veterans Rotting Christ return with a new 12 track offering that mixes together all of the musical pathways the band has traveled down to create the most complete and possibly most brutal RC album to date. Very indicative of the gothic metal movement currently manipulating Europe, RC take their brutal rhythms and vocals and add touches of keyboards and background sounds to create a bleak, dark atmosphere ("You Are I"). Despite adding these nuances, this Grecian quintet shows that they still have a blast beat buried deep in their heart somewhere ("Thou Art Blind"). If you like these guys or the whole underground black metal movement, this is a good disc to get your hands on.
