25 tracks in under 35 minutes seems a bit on the unconventional side, unless the band shreds like the Swedish grindcore treat Birdflesh. Lighthearted at times yet always bringing their music with a forceful heavy hand, these guys know how to captivate as they destroy everything in their wake, throwing in cute percussive tricks within the hellaciously crusty guitars and gurgling death growls originated from cuts like "Drums of Death" and "Born Tired". Blending some sludgy goodness into their quick-paced quirky cacophony only adds to the Pier Six Brawl that is MONDO MUSICALE, an enlightened hybrid of SOD, Nasum, and Napalm Death sure to get the blood pumping and the violence spiraling out of control.

According to unsubstantiated legend, Nirvana's Kurt Cobain once approached Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder in a Seattle bar and told Vedder he hated everything Pearl Jam and its fans stood for. The next time he saw Vedder, he retracted half of the comment, since they shared the same fanbase.
