The Abominable Iron sloth is Chaotic and dismal, a doom necro grunge amalgamation that probably doesn't exceed 60bpm at any given moment. Doing justice to their contemporaries such as Eyehategod, and Moss. Many of the tracks such as "nineties Male" drag into doomy mid-tempo sludge territory, like taking one bong hit too many, spinning out of control on dark ale; where the fuck are the vocals to pull me out of this fuzz trap? The title track," The Id Will Overcome” has some nice dynamics, and stands out from the rest of the albums drag; "A nation of Ignorant” is especially angry and lovely. "Tramp Stamp" reveals some acceptable riffage as well. On certain tracks, such as, "Two Black Helicopters", The Abominable Iron Sloth sounds like something Curt Cobain would write if he rose from the dead as a zombie and injected morphine into his vocal chords. The 13:59 second noise track intro to "The Timely Death of Billy Mays" makes for nice funeral chaos atmosphere, and the song itself makes it almost worth it. Somebody hose this shit off me now, so I can go kill myself.
