  • Powerman 5000 returns with a sonic boom on their sophmore effort, Tonight The Stars Revolt. Expect a full blown production on this 13 track CD, complete with trippy B-MOVIE samples, hypnotizing drum loops, crunchy guitars and dancable, moshable tunes akin to big brother Rob Zombie's work. Rob even appears in a guest spot to support lil' bro Spyder ("Blast Off To Nowhere.") And the band by themselves don't do too shabby either, giving us some chunky morsels to feast on ("They Know Who You Are," "When Worlds Collide," "Supernova Goes Pop,") to satisfy your electronic metal cravings. Definitely worth a listen if you dig Zombie, NIN, or any 90's rock outfit.
