A primer to get fans worked up for the band's upcoming 'Testify' record, which is due in January, 'The Warriors EP Vol. II' aims to give fans a few rarities they might otherwise have missed, incorporating everything from modern rock and metal to straight-up reggae into the mix. You get seven tracks in all including the textbook Payable On Death track 'If It Wasn't For You', a song in which Sonny chooses to emphasize the topic of spiritual faith. The track would have fit well on the band's last album, 'Satellite' and is a good choice to get things going on this EP as it delivers everything that followers have come to know and love about the group. A duo of demos, 'Teachers' and 'Ya Mama' further rely on that big rock sound that is associated with P.O.D., with melodic licks interlaced between high-octave strumming on the former, creating a sense of urgency and giving the cut an open air sound.

'Why Wait' delves straight into reggae roots, giving love to one of the influences that has made this band unique, while the Bob Rock-penned, 80's flavored 'Eyes Of A Stranger' finds the group sounding more like The Police than themselves. 2 Live cuts, the highly popular 'Boom' and 'Wildfire' add another dimension to an EP that's a little bit of this and a little bit of that and at the end of the day, a nice tease for the band's forthcoming full length effort.
