Sometimes albums are kind of a chore to listen to, or sometimes you feel yourself wanting to press the skip button when certain songs come on. You are in luck, this is not that kind of album. KMFDM had its 25th anniversary last year and started off this year with an album full of remixes. There is a lot of variety on "Krieg" too, so even if you don't like upbeat and dance mixes, you'll definitely still find something to enjoy. The variety is what really sparked my interest. I've listened to remix albums before that were just the same few songs mixed several times by different people and sounded pretty monotonous. This isn't like that at all. There are a few repeated tracks, but the sound is vastly different, so the listener won't be left wondering, '...did I not just listen to this a second ago?' when I was on a different track entirely. Overall everyone involved did a really great job with this album. Remix albums are typically filler to run out a contract or give the band a break but not "Krieg." Whether it's for making a mix-tape for someone or just looking for something a bit different from one of your favorite bands, this is definitely one to pick up at the nearest music store.
