One listen to 'Inferno Musuem' confirms ALLHELLUJA's affinity to emulate the best in the stoner rock genre. The front and back of the album do not give this impression, though. Most of the time when you look at a metal album cover, you can tell which genre it belongs in. Black metal records usually have something overtly satanic, dark, or Paganistic in nature. Death metal and grindcore feature scenes of death, gore, murder, war, etc. This discussion could go on and on and on, but you probably get the idea. The pants-less dominatrix adorning the cover might bring to mind porngrind or industrial. A close-up photo of vocalist Jacob Bredahl's ragin' bull ink on his back recalls WWE superstar and DOOM lead-man, the Rock because of his similar Brahman bull tat. These images keep the expectant listener anxiously waiting to hear what this band is all about. This band is all about rockin'!

Guitarist, Max creates riffs not quite as filthy as older KYUSS material, but still played with an admirable amount of fuzz. He masterfully switches between heavy cords and lighter cords, which make his riffs standout, as opposed to a muddy cacophony some bands create with the improper amount of tuning and distortion. Much the same way ALABAMA THUNDERPUSSY utilizes a crunchier approach to the grooves KYUSS created in the early-to-mid nineties, Max maintains those memorable rhythms, but adds a more energy and aggression. Really, the comparisons to KYUSS could be skipped over right to comparing them to ALABAMA THUNDERPUSSY. Yes, ALLHELLUJA play a similar style to ALABAMA THUNDERPUSSY, but where THUNDERPUSSY stagnates, ALLHELLUJA keeps moving forward.

'Inferno Musuem' is a needed addition to any fan of the bands mentioned in this review. ALLHELLUJA do what their music genre describes: rock. It is almost worth the cost of the CD just to hear the album's closing track 'Devil's Kiss,' which samples the best quote from the immortal horror film 'The Omen,' and plays a stonerific version of the movie's devilish choir.
