1. Live Show at Chain Reaction [DVD] [Live][*]

Taken, one band that has grasped the more melodic side of hardcore which once disbanded, has now come to be once again for this new EP on Goodfellow Records along with a DVD of their last performance at the Chain Reaction in which the band played in front of hundreds of passionate fans.

The EP you will find to have that same emotional charm that the Orange County act were known for, which was anything but typical hardcore but a band that didn't neglect it's beginning. Five songs strong, this EP will draw old fans out of the wood work for another chance at new Taken material. This is a type of hardcore, and loosely called so due to its more exploratory nature that allows for them to do a lot more than what anyone would expect. The result was a band that could call to its own style of hardcore, a style that hasn't lost any of its strong intentions of making some of the finer unconventional hardcore.

Songs as 'Arrested Impulse' and 'Treaded Path' make it seem that this band was never gone despite what time might otherwise suggest. And this time that has passed has done nothing to rust the abilities of Taken as they exemplify what started their dedicated following in the first place. The EP is the first step to a new beginning which is well needed in today's hardcore music, in this approach that is. The DVD is the icing, so have the cake and eat it too.
