Playing an intentionally ugly yet brazen and proud form of music, the vicious veteran hardcore assassins Ringworm return with their usual scalding delivery on THE VENOMOUS GRAND DESIGN. This unrestrained 13-track disc pummels from pillar to post, rarely giving the listener a chance to compose themselves before the destructive deluge begins again, with the exception coming from the somber acoustic intro on "Dichotomy" before turning up the intensity with "Never Was". This clubbing Cleveland clan continue to hold it down with the fervor and fury of many of the bands this long-standing act have undoubtedly influenced through the years. Like repeated blows to the skull, Ringworm convey their hate-fueled hardcore with sheer bluntness and abrasive force, making them still a potent force in the metallic hardcore realm.
