Grind on! As Maledictive Pigs churn their way through the ten ferocious tracks which grace their latest, 'Soul Surgery', the listener is bombarded with a concentration of musical force that is similar to being hit by a runaway freight train loaded down with nukes. Neck-snapping blasts drive the album's title track, a deafening cacophony of all-out grindcore that will have fans of the art form in a feeding frenzy. 'Genocide' finds Maledictive Pigs at their finest, a crushing track of severe magnitude. Throughout the record, the band push the Richter scale to unheard of levels of annihilation, all the while, retaining a distinctive sound that takes cues from early Napalm, then pushes that influence beyond the brink. The band's philosophical bent is apparent during the voracious 'Nihilism In Short', taking atheistic themes to the forefront of their music and carrying these attitudes into the pummeling 'Vital Confusion.' With other highlights including the overpowering 'Warzone', and the cripplingly extreme 'Blind Bleeding', there is more than enough high quality, whiplash inducing grind here for listeners to dig into.
