Helloween are still around, go figure that these guys could hang on to this power metal thing until the day walkers are their stability. 'Legacy of the Seven Keys' will trigger some attention as it eludes to their two legendary eighties releases which were their best two out of anything they will ever release (Kai Hansen is still the man in my book), but this two disc 'legacy' will be the next notch in a post that could've served a better purpose.

It's likely that in 2005, the only conscious fans of this band live Europe, still clinging on to the fabled past of this once well-received power metal act. The songs of 'Keeper Of The Seven Keys: The Legacy' remind you of something they've done; in fact it's everything they've done before with more fun storytelling for your chain mailed hearts' desire

Why they felt they needed to put this album on two discs is beyond me despite whatever story they probably wrote for it, it's all the same story when it comes down to it, not really giving you a breath of anything fresh but rather the rotted-out jack o lantern fumes that proceed to leak from the pores of these songs. As if to stir up an old tale, they named their album after a legacy that wasn't one at all, especially not in the ways of an actual story. Don't be fooled by the title of this album, as it is merely more of the recreation of what was great about this band, which was to the extent of their first three albums.

they are never going to make anything like their original stuff, but they had a different band then. this is a very good album, and is probably their best with Deris. it is well worth getting
